Water Line Break Impacts Major Street In Hoboken
A water line break has impacted two blocks of downtown Hoboken.

HOBOKEN, NJ — A water line break may cause temporary service interruptions in downtown Hoboken, Veolia Water said.
After 12:30 p.m., the company posted, "Crews are responding to assist with the repair of a building's service line on Washington Street between First and Second."
They said that residents on the block may experience temporary interruptions in their service while repairs are underway. There were no traffic impacts at the time, the company said.

Just before 1:30 p.m. they gave an update and said that there might be interruptions on the street on the two blocks between First and Third streets.
The area is about five blocks from the Hoboken train station.

Two residents posted dramatic photos on social media of a large geyser shooting into the sky, with one writing, "Thar she blows!"
