Gregory Commons, the landmark three-building complex of authentic, factory-converted lofts that look over the iconic New York City skyline from Hudson Yards to the Freedom Tower from high atop a bluff in Weehawken, has entered its latest phase of revitalization. This project, expected to be completed by the end of 2023, is breathing new life into the historic home of the S. Blickman Company, meeting intense demand for luxurious yet affordable homes bordering Manhattan along New Jersey’s “Gold Coast.”

Sophia Blickman opened her Weehawken plant on the site in 1923, manufacturing pots, pans and ultimately stainless-steel hospital equipment and biological safety equipment used in the NASA Apollo program. The company outgrew its Weehawken factory and relocated operations to Fairlawn and then Clifton beginning in 1975. Between 1988 and 1990, the former S. Blickman Company facility was converted into the 176 luxury condominiums that it is known for today.
“Gregory Commons meets modern demand for Hudson waterfront living while never losing sight of its luxurious sensibilities that are steeped in local history. These revitalization projects will increase curb appeal and beauty within its interior common areas, enhance modern conveniences, and guarantee sustainability of the complex over time. History has never been so good,” said Angela Cuciniello, the Coldwell Banker Realty sales agent who represents numerous listings at Gregory Commons.
