What Do You Think of the Sinatra Drive Redesign Plan? Take the Survey Now

The city has created an online survey so residents can voice their opinions about the community-influenced Sinatra Drive redesign plan.

On Monday, Sept. 15, 2014, the second public workshop was held as part of developing a community vision for the redesign of Sinatra Drive.

Members of the community are invited to review project materials and complete an online survey to provide their feedback on various design alternatives. Click here to take the online survey.

The City of Hoboken has hired Kimley Horn to conduct a public planning process for a “complete streets” redesign of Sinatra Drive from 4th Street to 11th Street.

A scenic waterfront corridor with magnificent views of the Hudson River and Manhattan skyline, Frank Sinatra Drive remains the only unfinished portion of Hoboken’s re-envisioned and revitalized waterfront.

“The City wishes to apply its “Complete Streets” policy to create a safe street that can be enjoyed by all Hoboken residents—including children, families, older adults, and people with disabilities—for walking, running, biking, and driving,” a representative from the committee stated online. “The street also will incorporate “Green Streets” elements such as rain gardens to reduce storm water run-off and flooding.”
