What Should Be Developed At Hoboken CVS Corner? Meeting Thursday
What should be developed at Newark and Washington streets in Hoboken? There's a meeting Thursday, and you can take the survey linked here.

HOBOKEN, NJ — What should be developed at the corner of Washington and Newark streets in Hoboken?
The city will host a public outreach session for the creation of a redevelopment plan for the CVS property and parking areas on Thursday, Oct. 20, from 4-6 p.m.
This doesn't necessarily mean the existing stores will leave, said a city spokesperson, just that the city would like to evaluate concepts for the area.

"The session is an opportunity for the public to provide feedback on the type of future development they would like to see at the site," said Marilyn Baer, "given its close proximity to transit, a historic district, a residential neighborhood, and a vibrant commercial corridor. Each redevelopment concept that will be presented tomorrow at the outreach session permits ground-floor retail such as CVS."
The session will be held at Newark Street Plaza. What is that, you ask? It's the outdoor area in front of the CVS Pharmacy building near the intersection of Washington Street and Newark Street.

A survey will be available after the session. It will ask about which type of pedestrian connection you'd like to see, and present five different redevelopment concepts.
