2025 Daffodil Walk Planned In Holmdel

See daffodils, early wildflowers and more on this walk through Bayonet Farm and Holmdel Park.

HOLMDEL, NJ — This spring, residents are invited to join the Holmdel on their 2025 Daffodil Walk.

The event will take place on Saturday, March 29 from 1-3 p.m. at Bayonet Farm. Attendees should meet at 1 p.m. at the farm’s small parking lot adjacent to the Harding House, for a 2.5-mile walk to see a host of golden daffodils.

Attendees will first visit the Daffodil Memorial Beds planted by volunteers at Bayonet Farm, officials said.

From there, guests will then wander into the Ramanessin section of Holmdel Park to see other early wildflowers (trout lilies, spring beauties, violets, etc.) and the extensive daffodils planted over 60 years ago along the brook’s edge.

After guests visit the Daffodil Memorial Beds and Holmdel Park, they will return to Bayonet Farm.

“Spring is here and daffodils are starting to pop up,” event officials said. “Just show up at the meeting time and place.”

The pace of the Daffodil Walk will be moderate and all are welcome, officials said, including couples, singles, families, seniors, dogs on leashes, etc.

The walk is one of many hikes and trail walks sponsored by the Friends of Holmdel Open Space (FOHOS) so all residents can become better acquainted with Holmdel’s parks and trails.

All FOHOS walks are free, open to the public and “show and go,” officials said, which means there’s no need to register. Typically, the walks last just a few hours, though in the event of severe weather, these walks may be cancelled.
