Bayshore Medical’s New Emergency Center Will Cut Waiting Times
The Dr. Robert H. Harris Emergency Care Center opened last Friday and aims to improve the hospital's capacity for emergency care.

HOLMDEL, NJ — Hackensack Meridian Bayshore Medical Center opened a brand new emergency center last Friday in a move that aims to significantly expand its capacity and cut down waiting times for emergency patients.
The new Dr. Robert H. Harris Emergency Care Center, located on the Garden State Parkway side of the North Beers Street campus, is adding 35 private patient bays and state-of-the-art technology as part of the expansion.
In a news release, the hospital promised to offer the most advanced emergency care available at the new site.

Holmdel Mayor Gregory Buontempo told the Asbury Park Press this expansion was overdue.
"The vision of making this happen ... couldn't come at a better time right now,” Buontempo said. "Holmdel's grown. Neighboring towns have grown."
The facility will tout more parking space for emergency care patients, as well as an expanded area for ambulance arrival, with room for up to six at the same time.
“The new Emergency Care Center at Bayshore Medical Center will provide our medical staff with a beautiful, state-of-the-art facility that will serve this community for generations,” added Said Samra, president of the Bayshore Medical staff.
The 32,000 square feet center was funded in part by private donations.
Just as this project is completed, the hospital already has a new one in the pipeline: the renovation of the new main entrance located on the north side of the campus, featuring an enlarged lobby and seating area with an improved atmosphere.
