Bethany Road Reopens In Hazlet After Project Completed Early
Railroad project had major Hazlet road closed for a week.
HAZLET, NJ — Bethany Road has reopened in both directions as of early Thursday afternoon, police said.
"We thank everyone for their patience," police said, adding that NJ Transit was able to complete the job a bit earlier than expected.
Motorists experienced detours on Bethany Road for a week as NJ Transit replaced double track at the Bethany Road railroad crossing, police said.

The road closure began Thursday, Nov. 3.
A "clapping hands" emoji seemed to be the comment of the day from Hazlet residents after police announced the road reopening on its Facebook site.
