Pastor Of Red Bank Church Charged With Sex Assault Of Girl, 14, At The Church

RED BANK, NJ — A pastor of a Spanish-speaking church in Red Bank is criminally charged with engaging with sexual activity with a juvenile girl at the church, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said Monday.

Enrique Molina, 50, was the pastor at Iglesia Pentecostal Nuevo Remanente, formerly located on Monmouth Street in Red Bank.

Police say the alleged criminal sexual activity began approximately seven years ago. The girl was 14 when the sex abuse started, and the encounters took place for the next three years, said the prosecutor.

Encounters took place at the church, as well as in the towns of Eatontown, Neptune Township and Ocean Township, said the prosecutor.

Molina is charged with two counts of first-degree aggravated sex assault, four counts of second-degree child endangerment, three counts of second-degree sex assault, two counts of third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact, one count of third-degree attempted aggravated criminal sexual contact, three counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact and hindering his own apprehension.

Molina was taken into custody without incident last week and is currently being held in the Monmouth County jail.
