Car Crashes Into Holmdel Chipotle

HOLMDEL, NJ — This was the scene at the Holmdel Chipotle Tuesday afternoon, where a car jumped the curb and drove into the eatery.

At about 4:05 p.m. Tuesday, a vehicle attempted to park alongside Chipotle on Rt. 35. It instead hopped the curb and crashed into the building, said Holmdel Police.

The force of the crash penetrated the interior of the building, meaning the car was inside the restaurant.

Nobody inside the restaurant was injured. The driver of the car was taken to Bayshore Medical Center for a complaint of neck pain.

Holmdel First Aid and Holmdel Fire responded to assist. According to Holmdel Construction, Chipotle will remain closed until the damage to the building can be repaired.
