Driver, 29, Hits Holmdel Woman, Son, and Three Parked Cars Before Stopping
The woman suffered leg injuries and was transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center. The child suffered a foot injury and was hospitalized.

A 29-year-old Brick man struck and injured a 38-year-old Holmdel pedestrian and her 7-year-old son Tuesday before hitting three parked cars in Aberdeen, and finally stopping.
The woman suffered leg injuries and was transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center. The child suffered a minor foot injury and was also taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center.
Matthew R. Winters of Brick was driving a Chevrolet Cavalier when the accident occurred at 6:45 p.m. in the parking lot of the Shop Rite store located on Lloyd Road near Route 34 on Tuesday, according to Matawan Police Chief John Powers.

The vehicle also drove over some landscaping, through a guardrail, then out onto Lloyd Rd., and traveled a short distance east before coming to a stop.
The driver was apprehended by P.O. Matthew McDow. Winters sustained a head injury and was taken to Bayshore Community Hospital.

Sgt. Raymond Sosa, Sgt. Matthew Lloyd, P.O. John Zeller, MONOC paramedics, and South Aberdeen EMS also responded to the scene.
The investigation is continuing and charges are pending. Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or had any contact with the driver to contact Sgt. Matthew Lloyd of the Traffic Safety Unit at 732-583-4200 ext. 222.
