Hazlet 2022 Election: Newcomer Wins Seat On School Board
Lisa Brown, who said she "is not OK" with the state sex-ed mandate, was the top vote-getter in the Hazlet school board race.

HAZLET, NJ — Lisa Brown, who was one of four candidates seeking election to three full-term seats on the Hazlet Board of Education, received the most votes in the Nov. 8 school board election.
Brown challenged three incumbents on the school board, and she said she would preserve its "conservative approach."
In her campaign, she said she "decided to run when I heard about the new health and sex education curricula the State of New Jersey had passed. There is a very progressive agenda being pushed on our children and I am not OK with it." Here is her profile in Patch to learn more about her views.
