As April begins and the summer season approaches, there’s plenty of new and fun events to check out around Monmouth County this weekend.

Defiant Jazz
Calling all “Severance” fans — if you’ve ever wanted to visit the set of Lumon Industries (the main setting of the hit Apple TV+ show “Severance”), you can check out the area with a “Severance”-themed event at Bar Bella on Saturday.

Starting at 8 p.m., attendees can enjoy some 'defiant jazz' at the bar, with an all-vinyl DJ set with Hi-Tide Recordings. The bar will be open until midnight.

One-Room Schoolhouse Tour of Monmouth County
This Saturday, you can travel through history and visit six historic schoolhouses throughout Monmouth County.

Each school will share its history with visitors from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and maps and information on the schools will be available at each site.

Scrambled Eggstravaganza
Enjoy an egg hunt, petting zoo, photo opportunities, and more at Marlboro’s “Scrambled Eggstravaganza” event on Saturday.

From 1-3 p.m., the town will host the event in the Municipal Complex Turf Field.

Hazlet’s Town-Wide Garage Sale
If you’re looking to shop local, there’s no better way than Hazlet’s Town-Wide Garage Sale on Sunday.

Climb Time
Want to get outside? You can head over to Shark River Park on Sunday and try the park system’s 25’ portable climbing wall from 3-6 p.m.

The wall is open to those ages 8 and up, and those under 18 must go with an adult.
