Man Arrested After Burglarizing Holmdel Bagel Shop: Police

The man broke a skylight to enter and took all the cash from the register, police said.

HOLMDEL, NJ — A man was arrested on Thursday, two weeks after burglarizing a bagel shop in Homdel, according to the Holmdel Police Department.

William Priola, 43, from Middletown, was charged with burglary, theft, and criminal mischief.

The Holmdel Police responded to Sheepshead Baygels on Highway 35 for a report of a burglary on Aug. 13. Priola had broken a skylight to enter and took all the cash from the register, police said.

Upon investigation, det. Andrew Kret with assistance from the Middletown and Hazlet Detective Bureaus was able to identify Priola as the suspect.

Priola was taken to the Monmouth County Correctional Institute pending a detention hearing.
