Native Plants In The Garden Topic Of Holmdel Open Space Talk
Join a virtual program from a Master Gardener about the benefits of planting native shrubs and flowers, sponsored by CILU of Holmdel.
HOLMDEL, NJ — The benefits and beauty of incorporating native plants in your garden will be the topic of an upcoming virtual lecture.
Citizens for Informed Land Use (CILU) is sponsoring the free program on March 25. You can register for the program here. It takes place at 7 p.m.
Irene Wanat, a Rutgers Master Gardener with over 38 years of experience, will discuss which native shrubs and perennial species you can integrate into your garden.

Native plants are hardy and adapt well to their proper environment. Birds and butterflies will also be attracted to the native plants, CILU says.
