Obituary: Anthony Antonucci, 14, of Hazlet

Known as Nucci to friends, he played football for the Hazlet Hawks and the Holmdel Hornets and also played on the Hazlet Middle School basketball team.

Anthony Joseph Antonucci, "Nucci", 14, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away suddenly on April 23, 2013. Anthony was born on April 5, 1999 in Red Bank, New Jersey and spent his entire life living in Hazlet, New Jersey.

Nucci played football for both the Hazlet Hawks and the Holmdel Hornets and was also on the Hazlet Middle School basketball team. He was looking forward to playing football for Raritan High School and aspired to be a cadet at the North Centerville Fire Company.

Anthony is survived by his loving mother, Kasey Crahan, his beloved father, Joseph Antonucci and his wife Annamarie, his brother and sister, Giovanni and Abigail Antonucci, his adoring grandparents, Rich and Kate Crahan, Anthony and Debbie Antonucci, his cherished aunts, Keri Gelato and her husband Anthony, Jamie Gelpke and her husband Jim, his dear uncle who was a like a brother to him, Brian Crahan, his cousins, Julianna, Sophia, Reagan and Riley, along with many other special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, April 27th, 2013 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, Sunday, April 28th, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Monday, April 29th, 2013 from 8:00 to 8:45 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3269 State Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, April 29, 2013 at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 727 Highway 36, Union Beach, New Jersey 07735 at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery, 900 Holmdel Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.
