A ceremony on Sept. 16 marked the "groundbreaking" for Somerset Development, as it moves forward with its plans to create a mixed-used building at the former Bell Labs.
The building will house a gym, retail shops and restaurants, the Holmdel Township library, a possible remote online college, a spa, and assisted living and more.
Plans for the future of the property are available online. As of now, the Holmdel Planning Board has only approved the development of the mixed-use building and any residential plans have not moved forward.
