Residents Evacuated From Smoky Basement Fire At Holmdel Home
At about 2:43 Friday afternoon, first responders found a "heavy smoke condition" at a Forest Park Court residence.
HOLMDEL, NJ — On Friday afternoon, residents of a house on Forest Park Court were safely evacuated by first responders after they reported heavy smoke in their home from a basement fire, police said.
At about 2:43 p.m. Friday, Holmdel police officers found a "heavy smoke condition" inside the home.
The Holmdel Fire Department arrived on scene and was soon assisted by surrounding agencies, including fire departments from Union Beach, Tinton Falls, North Centerville, Keyport, and Naval Weapons Station Earle. Holmdel First Aid also responded, police said.

The fire was contained to the basement and the cause is under investigation by the Holmdel Township and Monmouth County Fire Marshal's offices.
The residence was evacuated, and no injuries were reported, police said.
