Residents Safe In Holmdel Fire
On Monday morning, police and firefighters responded to a fire at a house on Holmdel Road. The residents evacuated, fire was extinguished.
HOLMDEL, NJ — A house fire on Monday morning was extinguished by firefighters after residents evacuated safely, police said in an update Monday afternoon.
At about 11:09 a.m., Holmdel police went to Holmdel Road for a report of a structure fire there.
Holmdel Road was closed between North Beers Street and Bethany Road because of the fire.

The residents had already evacuated the home when police arrived.
The fire was extinguished by responding firefighters and there were no reported injuries during the incident, police said.

Holmdel Fire Department and First Aid responded along with fire and first aid units from Hazlet, Union Beach, Middletown, Keyport, and Aberdeen.
The incident is being investigated by the Holmdel Township Police Department Detective Bureau, the Holmdel Township Fire Official, and the Monmouth County Fire Marshal's Office, police said.
