COVID Testing In Sussex County: Where To Find Locations

SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ — As COVID cases have continued to climb in Sussex County, with 398 new cases, the last figure reported on Dec. 30 among residents, there are a number of test options available in the county.

Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 24,809 cases, 20,229 recorded as "recovered," with 371 total COVID deaths, including one new one, reported on Dec. 30.

This compares to Dec. 23 when there were 216 new cases, 22,724 cases in countywide since the pandemic began, with 19,871 recovered and a total of 362 deaths.

The County of Sussex, which plans to release its newest case count on Jan. 3, offers free at-home test kits for all residents through Labcorp and Vault Health, with nasal and saliva test types available.

Though the kits are provided without cost, residents who would like to order one, will need to furnish their health insurance information, including those covered by Medicaid and Medicare, though they won’t be billed for the test.

Uninsured residents will also still need to give their coverage status as well when they fill out the application, but won’t be required to pay.

At-home tests for residents can be ordered here and include:

Pixel by Labcorp Nasal Test - for ages 18 and older, with the typical turnaround time for results up to 48 hours.

• Vault Health Saliva Test - for ages 6 and older, with parent or guardians required to fill out the registration for ages 18 and under.
