Dump Truck Crash in Sussex County Hospitalizes 2-Year-Old

The two-year-old needed to be air evacuated to a local hospital, police said.

SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ — A multi-car collision involving a dump truck has left several injured, including a two-year-old child, according to the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office.

On Friday, around 11 a.m., a dump truck traveling south on Route 284 had crossed over into the northbound lanes, on a curved portion of the highway, slamming into the left side of a Ford Ranger.

The impact caused the Ford to roll over and left it upside down on the highway median.
