DWI Sparta Man Crashes into Mailboxes, Telephone Pole: Police
Brian Wilkie, 23, was arrested and transported to Newton Medical Center for his injuries, police said.

SPARTA, N.J.– A township man last Thursday was arrested for drunk driving after he struck two mailboxes and a telephone pole with his 2015 Kia, authorities said.
The driver, Brian Wilkie, 23, was standing outside the vehicle when police arrived, Sgt. Dennis Proctor said.
Wilkie sustained wrist and eye injuries from the crash, according to Proctor.

Officer Tim Lynott came to the opinion that Wilkie was drunk, and the latter was transported to the Newton Medical Center, where a blood sample was taken, Proctor said.
Wilkie was charged with DWI, careless driving and failure to maintain lane, the sergeant said.
