Hit-And-Run Injures 2 In Morris County Neighborhood

Police say the suspect was driving a "dark colored SUV-type vehicle," and are still searching for them.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A man was left critically injured following a hit-and-run incident on Saturday night, according to police.

At around 9:45 p.m. on Saturday, Jefferson Township Police responded to a hit-and-run on Brady Road in Lake Hopatcong, where they found a man and woman who had been hit by a car.

Both victims, whose identities have not been released, were found in the driveway of 64 Brady Road.

The man, 43, was left with “serious injuries” and was brought to the Morristown Hospital for treatment. The woman, 42, sustained minor injuries and was treated by emergency personnel on the scene, according to officials.

Investigators believe the individual who struck the victims was driving a dark colored SUV-type car, and added that they “fled the scene” following the incident.
