Hopatcong woman who used a stolen credit card for goods and services in Morris and Sussex counties enters a guilty plea.

A Hopatcong woman who was accused of third-degree credit card fraud pled guilty on September 6 before a judge at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton. Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the woman's guilty plea in front of the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton.

Jennifer Nicholson was accused of using a credit card that belonged to her boyfriend's parents for various goods and services between May 24 and June 1 of 2014. According to police reports, the boyfriend's mother told police on June 9, 2014 that she believed her son's girlfriend had stolen her husband's credit card.

Nicholson was living with them at the time of the alleged theft, say police reports. Police had obtained the security footage from the Liquor Factory in Hopatcong, Walmart in Flanders, Quick Chek in Hopatcong, ShopRite in Succasunna, McDonald's in Byram, and Rite Aid in Hopatcong that all revealed Nicholson using the card, according to police reports.
