Sparta Man, 74, Dies in Vermont Car Crash: Report

SPARTA, N.J.– A 74-year-old Sparta man was killed in a single car crash on Rt. 22 in Benson, Vt. on Monday, according to reports.

John Leffler was the passenger in a 2008 Toyota Highlander that collided with multiple trees and rolled over, the Burlington Free Press reported.

The car was driven by Dorris Leffler, 74, of Sparta, though the relationship between driver and passenger was not immediately identified by police, according to the newspaper.

John Leffler was pronounced dead at the scene while Dorris suffered minor injuries and was transported to Rutland Regional Medical Center, the newspaper reported.

They were both wearing seatbelts, according to the newspaper.
