Suffolk Police Partners With Neighborhood Networking App
They are the first law enforcement agency to partner with the social networking company.

The Suffolk County Police Department announced on Thursday that it has partnered with Nextdoor, the neighborhood social network, to increase community policing efforts.
Becoming the first department on Long Island to connect with Nextdoor, the partnership will connect more than 600,000 residents in 500 neighborhoods in Suffolk County.
Nextdoor allows users to identify their neighborhoods and interact with their neighbors through its online site and mobile app. The platform is free for all users.
