One person has been arrested and charged in connection with a shooting incident in Howell on Saturday night, authorities said.
HOWELL, NJ - One person has been arrested and charged in connection with a shooting incident in Howell on Saturday night, authorities said.
“We can confirm our office is currently investigating a shooting incident that took place Saturday night in Howell Township,” a spokesperson from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed to Patch.
The identity of the person charged was not immediately available as of Monday morning.

The spokesperson added the shooting was an isolated incident and there is no further threat to the public. No injuries were reported in the shooting.
The investigation is ongoing, the spokesperson said.

The Lakewood Scoop initially reported the shooting took place in the Ramtown section of Howell after a homeowner heard his car alarm sound off and subsequently saw a group of people run from his driveway and into a “waiting vehicle.”
The homeowner reportedly fired several rounds at the waiting vehicle, per the publication, though the individuals in the car were reportedly not thieves.
