Address Change For Mail Going To Howell Government Begins July 1

Residents should no longer use the Post Office box address for Howell Township correspondence, but anything mailed will be forwarded.

HOWELL, NJ — Effective Saturday, July 1, the township offices will no longer use a Post Office box number as its mailing address.

All mail should now be addressed to: Howell Township, 4567 Route 9 North, 2nd Floor, Howell, NJ 07731.

Mail will be forwarded from the Post Office box to the Howell Township Municipal building for the next six months to assist with the change, town officials said.

The physical location of Township Hall has not changed.

The township discussed eliminating the Post Office box internally, said Township Manager Joseph Clark.

"We decided to save taxpayers a little bit of money each year - approximately $2,000 per year - by cancelling it," he said.
