Christmas Market In Farmingdale Sets The Stage For Holiday Fun

This Saturday, the picturesque borough of Farmingdale will host a Christmas Market, presented by the Recreation Commission.

FARMINGDALE, NJ — If you want to enjoy a holiday market in a setting worthy of Currier & Ives (without the snow), stop by the Farmingdale Christmas Market this Saturday.

The market is Nov. 19 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Community Center, 11 Asbury Ave.

There will be vendors and crafters selling their wares and other events.

Here are some of the events:

  • Hot cocoa and free kids crafts start at 9 a.m.
  • Model train display is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. by the Ocean County Society of Railroaders.
  • Meet Santa at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Carolers will perform at 11 a.m.

The event is presented by the Recreation Commission, but it's just the start of many holiday happenings to come in Farmingdale.

The free lighted Holiday Trail outside the Community Center will be open the weekend of Dec. 3, on weekends until Dec. 24 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the recreation site says.

There will be the 11th annual Gingerbread House Display the weekend of Dec. 3 and 4 at the Wainwright Museum on Main Street. There is still time to enter a house, so see the Recreation Commission's Facebook page on details of how to enter.
