Fall Fest, Optimist Car Show Bringing Fun In Howell

A pie baking contest, fire pits and more are on tap at the annual Fall Fest in Howell.

HOWELL, NJ — Show off your best pie-making skills at Howell Township's annual Fall Fest, set for Saturday, Oct. 19.

The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Oak Glen Park on Preventorium Road and includes food vendors, games for the kids, free rides, music and more.

Fall Fest also includes the Optimist Club of Howell's annual Classic Car Show, with a range of vehicles on display from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There will be limited parking around Oak Glen Park and there will be shuttle buses available from Howell Middle School North and Howell Middle School South.

The live music will include a DJ, The MVP Band from Howell High School's Fine and Performing Arts Center, the Shore Bet Band Duo from 2:15 p.m.-4:15 p.m. and the Eddie Testa Band from 5 p.m.-7 p.m.

The Howell Township PBA will offer a beer and wine garden.

The pie-baking contest is open to bakers of all ages and is free to enter. No nut pies permitted. Judging will take place at 4:30 p.m. at the stage. Winners will be awarded for Best in Show and Best in Category.
