Howell Band Marches to Victory in Toms River
Marching Rebels heading to MetLife Stadium this weekend.
The Howell Marching Rebels will play in a lot of different locations this year from the fields of the Shore Conference to the home of the New York Jets and New York Giants.
Band Director Anthony Limaldi and the band got their first taste of competition this year when they headed down to Toms River East to face some tough bands from around the area. By the time the night was done the Rebels had not only brought home the Group 4A title they also claimed the prize for best visual effects.
Other groups in the Howell division included Middletown South, Allentown, Toms River North, Point Pleasant Boro and Manalapan.

Next up for the Rebels is a trip to the Meadowlands to compete in the USBands Yamaha Cup Regionals at MetLife Stadium. The competition is set for Saturday on one of the biggest stages the team will perform on this year.
As they continue to set their sights on the local scene the Howell band members are also gearing up for what they hope will be a memorable experience next year. If enough money can be raised the Rebels are planning on performing at Walt Disney World in April of 2014. To reach that goal the band has already held several fundraisers with more expected in the coming months.
