Howell Internet Service Restored After Sunday Outage: Township
About 6,000 residents in Howell, Jackson were affected by an Altice internet outage Sunday from a transformer fire, the township said.
HOWELL, NJ — All approximately 6,000 households affected by Sunday's Altice outage here and in Jackson should be back to normal, Howell Township reported Monday morning.
The cause of the outage was a transformer fire on Aldrich Road Sunday that damaged some fiber optic equipment, officials said.
On Sunday, the township received word that there was a pole fire that damaged some of the fiber optic cables responsible for bringing internet to the area.
