HOWELL, NJ — All approximately 6,000 households affected by Sunday's Altice outage here and in Jackson should be back to normal, Howell Township reported Monday morning. The cause of the outage was a transformer fire on Aldrich Road Sunday that damaged some fiber optic equipment, officials said. On Sunday, the township received word that there was a pole fire that damaged some of the fiber optic cables responsible for bringing internet to the area. Crews were on the scene Sunday. The outage affected approximately 6,000 people in Jackson and Howell, the township said.
