Howell Township Council 2022 Election Results: Republicans Leading
In unofficial results, the Republican slate was leading the Democrats for Township Council.

HOWELL, NJ — Political control of the Township Council will be determined by the election Tuesday, and the Republican slate was leading in unofficial results.
Democratic Councilman John Bonevich was seeking re-election. Newcomers Denise King and Randy Bishop were his Democratic running mates.

The three Republican candidates were Susan Fischer, Fred Gasior and Ian Nadel.
For the Republicans, the results were: Gasior, 9,737; Fischer, 9,921; and Nadel, 9,706.

The Democratic results as of 10 p.m. were: Bonevich, 7,528; Bishop, 7,191; King, 7,292.
Howell is currently majority Republican, but it has a Democratic mayor, Theresa Berger. Deputy Mayor Pamela Richmond, a Republican, and Councilwoman Suzanne Brennan, also a Republican, did not seek re-election.
All the candidates stated they supported keeping Howell's rural character protected from overdevelopment. The trend toward so-called "mega-warehouses" trying to gain a foothold in this sprawling, 62-square-mile township has been a major focus of all the campaigns.
