Howell Youth Police Camp Accepting Applications
Kids in sixth, seventh and eighth grades are eligible to participate in the summer camp.

HOWELL, NJ — The Howell Youth Law Enforcement Boot Camp is accepting applications for this summer's 14th annual camp.
If your child is interested in law enforcement as a career, the camp is an opportunity for kids in sixth, seventh and eighth grades to get a glimpse at the different facets of police work.
The camp, scheduled for Monday, July 29 through Saturday, Aug. Aug. 3 plus Monday, Aug. 5, is an intense week of training that introduces kids to the skills and techniques a police officer acquires while going through a certified police academy.

It is held from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and includes a mandatory Saturday community service day. The camp graduation is set for Tuesday, Aug. 6 at Howell's National Night Out event.
There is a $100 fee upon acceptance into the program and a mandatory parents and cadets meeting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, at the Howell PAL, 115 Kent Road.

The camp is sponsored by the Howell Township Police Department and the Howell PAL.
