JCP&L Conducting Aerial Surveillance This Week
Helicopter expected to be seen in Howell through the week.

Residents around Howell may notice a helicopter flying near the power lines in the area.
The Howell Police Department is reporting that the work is part of JCP&L’s efforts to ensure the lines are as safe and reliable as possible.
The Haverfield Company is conducting Transmission Aerial Patrols across the state this week and the surveillance of our area is expected to last most of the week until around Friday depending on the weather.

Residents may see the helicopter flying at a low altitude between 20 and 30 MPH near the lines, sometimes going closer than they might otherwise be. The helicopter is described as a black Hughes MD500 with a nail number of N8371F.
Any questions about the helicopter should be directed to the utility instead of the local authorities.
