Motorcyclist Dies After Crashing Into Utility Pole In Howell
Unidentified Jackson resident dies in motorcycle crash after hitting a utility pole on Manassa Road in Howell overnight Sunday.
HOWELL, NJ — Police are investigating a fatal crash overnight in which a motorcyclist from Jackson hit a utility pole on Manassa Road here.
The road was still closed as repairs were being made, police said Sunday morning.
The accident involving an unidentified Jackson driver, 40, was discovered by police on patrol at 12:37 a.m. Sunday morning, police said.

Police said the motorcyclist appeared to be driving south on Manassa Road when the cycle ran off the roadway to the right for an unknown reason. It then collided with the utility pole.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Manassa Road was still closed as of noon Sunday between Norse Drive and Southard Avenue for repairs to the downed pole, police said.
