Poker Run Highlights Weekend Activities

A look at events happening in and around Howell this weekend.

The National Weather Service is predicting another beautiful weekend in our area and if you are a motorcycle enthusiast or just someone looking to help out a good cause a trip to Farmingdale on Sunday could be just what you are looking for.

Starting at Woody’s Roadside Tavern the Marcos A. Colon will kick off to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer research. Registration starts at 9 a.m. and the ride is scheduled to start at 11. If riding on two wheels is not your idea of a good way to spend a day people are invited to head to Woody’s at 2 p.m. for food, drinks and other entertainment.

On Saturday the Howell Public Library will host author Andy Rane to discuss how independent authors can best use social media to get their message out. Presented by Monmouth Writers as part of the Author talk series Rane is scheduled to speak at 10 a.m.

Looking to get your car cleaned on a sunny Saturday morning, the Howell High School ice hockey team will be hosting a car wash at the Southard Fire Department.  The cost is just $5 for cars and $7 for trucks and minivans.
