Special Council Meeting Set for Thursday

Taking another step to find a new township manager the Howell Township Council is scheduled to meet tonight for a strategy session as well as interviews of potential candidates.
The meeting will start at 5:30 and will include a chance for the public to weigh in while the council decides what they are looking for in candidates to replace longtime manager Helene Schlegel. This will be the second meeting of the week for the council having met previously on Tuesday night at the Municipal Building.
Drivers on the road this morning will need to be careful as the National Weather Service is calling for patchy fog until around 8 a.m. After the fog burns off the sun should come out for the rest of the day with a high temperature of around 72 degrees. When the sun sets it will be a partly cloudy night with a low near 54 degrees.
