Spring Brush Collection Dates For 2024 Announced In Howell

If you're cleaning up your yard, here's when Howell will begin picking up brush and tree trimmings.

HOWELL, NJ — The Howell Township Department of Public Works has announced its spring brush collection schedule for 2024.

If the warmer days have you outside beginning your cleanup efforts, the town will begin to remove brush and tree trimmings beginning on April 1, weather permitting.

Town officials said all brush should be curbside no later than May 6.

After May 6 there will be one final collection per zone until all sections of the township have been completed.

Do not put leaves at the curb; the township is picking up only brush and tree trimmings.

Residents can bring leaves and brush to the Township Recycling Center at 278 Old Tavern Road. See Howell Township website for days and times.

"Please adhere to the following guidelines" for the pick-up, officials said:

BRUSH

Stacked against curb with all butt ends facing the same direction
Maximum size: 6 inches in diameter and 8 feet in length. NO STUMPS
Maximum volume: equal to 1 pickup truck load. Additional brush can be dropped off at the Recycling Center.
