Three New Special Officers Named For Howell Police Department

HOWELL, NJ — The Police Department has welcomed its newest Howell Township Special Law Enforcement Officers, SLEO II Drew Bertinelli, Daniel Marino and Briana Rommeihs, the department announced.

On Dec. 7 the Monmouth County Police Academy graduated the 103rd Basic Police Officer Class and the 54th Basic SLEO II Class.

Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago was a speaker at the ceremony.

He said he was "proud to attend the Law Enforcement Recruits Graduation from the Monmouth County Police Academy.

"We would like to welcome, congratulate and wish the best of luck to the 28 newly-sworn graduates of the 103rd Basic Course for Police Officers and the eight recruits from the 54th Basic Course for Class II Special Law Enforcement Officers who received their Police Training Commission certifications," Santiago said.

In Howell, Police Chief John Storrow wished the new officers there and the other graduates "continued success and safety in your future law enforcement endeavors."

The Howell Township Police Department is also accepting applications for Certified Class II police officers, according to its Facebook site. Applicants must be a graduate of a New Jersey Police Training Commission Basic Course for Class II Special Law Enforcement Officers. Resumes can be sent to recruiting@HowellPolice.org or dropped off in person at 300 Old Tavern Road in Howell.
