On May 16th, 2012, the Jefferson Consolidated PTA along with the Briggs School Staff and the Department of Transportation will be hosting a Kindergarten Orientation Program for children entering kindergarten in September 2012. The program will take place at the Briggs School and is designed to help ease the transition from preschool to kindergarten. Children will be given a tour of the school and participate in a kindergarten classroom. They will also be taught school bus safety and take a short bus ride.
Two sessions will be offered on Wednesday, May 16th: 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. and 12:30 to 2:15 p.m. Registration forms are available at the Briggs School. All children will be accepted, but session choice will be given on a first come first serve basis.
The fee for this program is $7.00 per child and checks should be made payable to the Jefferson Consolidated PTA. Cash will also be accepted. Completed registration form and registration fee should be mailed directly to the Briggs School, 1 Jefferson Drive, Lake Hopatcong, NJ 07849 by no later than May 1st, 2012.

Parents are invited to attend a separate orientation at the Briggs School on Monday, May 15th, 2012 at 7:00 p.m.
