Pack 49 of Milton invites boys entering grades 1 through 5 in September 2011 to join Cub Scouts at our new member recruitment event on Thursday, June 9th at Cozy Lake School from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Boys and their parents are encouraged to attend to learn more about Scouting and sign up to begin participating in our summer activities. Cub Scouts explore a variety of new interests and activities with other boys their age and participation helps them develop a sense of confidence, teamwork, responsibility and a spirit of service. Cubs meet weekly or biweekly in small groups (Dens) and monthly with the entire group (Pack) to share experiences, activities and recognition. Pack 49 is known for maintaining the butterfly garden outside the Jefferson Library and hiking trails in Mahlon Dickerson Reservation, going on monthly pack hikes, and for fun outings to places such as the Battleship Massachusetts, camping at Camp Allamuchy, and other great excursions!
