Help Us Help You

Jefferson has loads of teams, groups, organizations, clubs, volunteers...need we go on? There are so many of you doing great stuff, or watching your kids do great stuff. We wish we could be there for all this great stuff going on, but, alas, we can't. We just can't be everywhere at once. But we want to see all your events and accomplishments up on the site—you know, we're a little greedy that way. So, we need your help. And here's how:

1. You Can Send Us Photos: Did your group just sponsor an event? Did your team just win a game? Send us your photos. And if you have information about the game or event, send that, too. We'll work with you to get it up on the site as soon as possible.
2. You Can Make an Announcement: Did you just become a parent or a grandparent? Did your child make honor roll or graduate from college? Is your cat lost? Did you just get promoted at work? Let us know. Become a Patch user, then click on the "Create" tab at the bottom of the announcement page to let Jefferson know your good news.
3. You Can Comment on Stories: At the end of each story there exists an area for you to click to leave comments on what you've read. Do you have a shout-out for something or someone mentioned in the story? Do you agree or disagree? Let us know. There's nothing like healthy dialogue to get the blood flowing.
4. You Can Find Out About Events: Are you looking for something to do in town on the weekend? Do you need to know when the next school board meeting is? Click on the "Event" tab, choose the category you want, and you'll get the information you need. And, if you're signed up as a Patch user, you can post events for your organization as well. Just click on the "Create an Event" tab at the bottom of the event page and fill in the necessary information.
5. You Can Ask or Answer a Question: Just click on the "Q&A" tab to find questions that have already been submitted. If you know the answer, help a neighbor out. If you have a question, that is the place to post it
6. You Can Find Out About Local Businesses: Looking for a restaurant? Or maybe where the nearest pharmacy is? Need to know where to find a place of worship? The Patch directory is the place to look. You can browse the Directory by categories to find just what you're looking for. If you own a business listed in the directory, you can claim it as well.
