Why Go:Β Vergano will lead a tour of an exhibit at the museum, which features her works, titled, β€œBeauty in the Brushstroke: Chinese Brush Painting.”

Why Go:Β Well, if you’re recently divorced, then the advice of the New Jersey divorce attorney, financial adviser and mental health professional that will all be present at this event might be welcome, or needed.

Why Go:Β Because a retired vice president of international banking at J.P. Morgan Chase will discuss Social Security, and pharmaceutical writer and editor Laurie Thomas will discuss Medicare. This event is sponsored by the Montville Democratic Committee and Montville Democratic Club.

Where/When:Β From 7:45 to 9:15 p.m. on Thursday, April 21 at theΒ .
Why Go:Β Because you want to socialize, party, or dance. So why not do all three at the same time?
Pricing:Β Free for students; $15 for non-students.


Where/When:Β From 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. at theΒ Β in Hopatcong on Thursdays.
Why Go:Β Because not only can you enjoy the diner-style menu or grab a drink, but you can also watch your friends attempt to sing.
Pricing:Β No cover.


Where/When:Β From 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. atΒ Β in Long Valley on Friday, April 22.
Why Go:Β Because what would be more good on Good Friday than giving blood?
Pricing:Β Free and walk-ins accepted, but to make an appointment seeΒ The Blood Center of New Jersey’s website.


Where/When:Β Check-in at theΒ Β in Long Valley on Friday, April 22 at 10 a.m.
Why Go:Β Because you want to help clean-up parking lots and sidewalks, plant trees, and beautify the town.
Pricing:Β Free. Also: volunteers and donors are still needed.


Where/When:Β At 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, April 22 and 23, at the Parsippany Playhouse in the Parsippany Community Center.
Why Go:Β Because, according to Alicia Ciccone’sΒ , β€œthe play is a perfect mix of emotional and comedic qualities that keeps the audience on its toes.”
Pricing:Β $18 for general admission, $15 for seniors.


Where/When:Β At theΒ Β in Lake Hopatcong on Saturday, April 23 beginning at 10 a.m.
Why Go:Β To help clean up the beach and club area before the temperature warms up and people start to flock to the lake. If it rains, though, stay home, as the clean-up will be rescheduled for the 30th. Volunteers will get coffee and doughnuts in the morning and pizza and drinks in the afternoon.
Pricing:Β Free.


Where/When:Β Starts atΒ , makes its way through Harding and Chatham, then back to Morristown, beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturdays.
Why Go:Β The pace will be moderate for this 20-mile ride. So if you’re looking to get back into tip-top shape for the summer, this weekly bike road might be a good way to start.

Where/When:Β From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at theΒ Β on Saturday, April 23.
Why Go:Β Because, according to New Jersey Blood Services, the need for blood is constant and one in seven people entering a hospital will need blood. So, if you’ve got some to spare, why hold out?

Where/When:Β Beginning 12 p.m. atΒ Β in Chatham on Saturday, April 23.
Why Go:Β The event aims to raise awareness about the positive environmental impact of using cloth diapers by attempting to break a world record for the most cloth diapers ever changed simultaneously.

Where/When:Β At theΒ Β in Morristown at 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 23.
Why Go:Β Because Sykes will be performing her unique style of stand-up comedy, which has made her one of the most recognized comics of the past few decades.

Β Where/When:Β Thursday, April 21 and Friday, April 22 at StonecrestΒ ,Β at 7 p.m.
Why Go:Β It's a contemporary play for the entire family, celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus.

Where/When:Β Saturday, April 23 at allΒ Lowe's locations.
Why Go:Β You can plant your free tree in honor of Earth Day.
Pricing:Β Free.

Why Go:Β It's a unique adventure to learn about bird species while enjoying the warmer weather with some excercise.Β

Why Go:Β You'll build your own planter/basket for Earth Day or Easter.

Where/When:Β Sunday, April 24Β celebrated atΒ ,Β Β orΒ Why Go:Β To don your Easter best and stop by before or after visiting with the relatives.

GRAB & GO KIDS PLANNER


Where/When:
Β From 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. on Thursday, April 21 atΒ Β in Hopatcong.
Why Go:Β Because students of all ages and or skill levels can learn self defense with a combination of martial arts. Visitors are also welcome.

Where/When:Β At 3:30 p.m. at theΒ Β on Fridays.
Why Go:Β Because the club, for 6- through 14-year-olds, meets every week and is a chance to hone one’s chess skills.

Where/When:Β AtΒ Β at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 23.Β 
Why Go:Β Because there will be a 5K run, a fitness walk, and a race for kid’s too. But more importantly: proceeds will benefit The Valerie Fund, which helps children with cancer and blood disorders.

Where/When:Β From noon to 2 p.m. at theΒ Β in Morris Townshipon Saturday, April 23.
Why Go:Β Because children ages 5 or older can grow a plant that never needs to be watered. How cool is that?
Pricing:Β $3 per child plus museum admission.


Where/When:Β AtΒ Β in Morris Township on Saturday, April 23 from 1 to 2 p.m.
Why Go:Β Because the staff of Fosterfields Living Historical Farm will show how they keep a bee hive healthy during β€œThe Buzz” at the hive.
Pricing:Β $6 for adults; $5 for seniors 65 or older; $4 for children 4 to 16; $2 for children 2 and 3. children younger than 2 are admitted for free.


Where/When:Β From 1 to 3:30 p.m. atΒ Β in Morris Townshipon Saturday, April 23.
Why Go:Β Because families (parents/guardians must be present) can make sheep toy crafts or play historic games.
Pricing:Β $6 for adults; $5 for seniors 65 or older; $4 for children 4 to 16; $2 for children 2 and 3. children younger than 2 are admitted for free.


Where/When:Β AtΒ Β in Oak Ridge on Saturday, April 23 at 1 p.m.
Why Go:Β Children between kindergarten and the fifth grade can hunt for Easter eggs with their families. What can be more fun than that on Easter? Make sure to bring food donations, too, as the church will be collecting food for the Jefferson Township Food Pantry.

Where/When:Β AtΒ Β in Kinnelon on Sunday, April 24 beginning at 10 a.m.
Why Go:Β Because families with children three or older can enjoy this hike and egg hunt on Easter.
Pricing:Β $2.

Where/When:Β Saturday, April 23 atΒ Β in Bernards Township,Β at 11 a.m.
Why Go:Β 3,000 Easter eggs will be stuffed with surprises.

Where/When:Β Saturday, April 23 at theΒ Β in Basking Ridge.
Why Go:Β To enjoy the festivities of the holiday while benefitting children with cancer and blood disorders.
