Labor Day in Jefferson: What's Open and Closed

A holiday weekend is nearly upon us and with Monday off from work for Labor Day, for many it means an extra day of relaxation.

It also means not everything will be open for regular business. Here are a few things we confirmed will be open or closed in or near Montville:

Post Offices Will be Closed: Both the Lake Hopatcong and post offices will be closed on Monday.

Banks Will be Closed: Unless you do your banking with TD Bank, banks are closed on Monday.

Jefferson Library Will be Closed: The will be closed on both Sunday and Monday for the holiday. The library will be open on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Grocery Stores Will be Open: Grocery stores tend to stay open for many national holidays so if you were thinking about stocking up on food in advance, there is no need as the stores will be open.

Malls Will be Open: According to the Simon Mall website, Rockaway Townsquare mall will be open on Monday. Stores will be open during normal hours from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
