Police: Woman Tried To Flood Jail Cell
She was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.

Jefferson Township police say a Hopatcong resident tried to flood her jail cell Sunday, when she was arrested after allegedly causing a disturbance at McKenna’s Pub.
Police say they saw a man and woman in the parking lot Sunday. The woman was yelling and screaming, police said. Officers attempted to calm the woman down but she would not comply, police said. Police arrested the woman, who was later identified as Kelly Rivera, 25, of Hopatcong.
Her husband, later identified as Eduardo Rivera, 24 of Hopatcong, approached the officers in what they determined to be an aggressive manner while his wife was under arrest and was also arrested, police said.

While in custody at police headquarters Kelly Rivera attempted to flood her detention cell by stuffing toilet paper in the toilet and repeatedly flushing the toilet, police said. She was additionally charged with criminal mischief.
Both were charged with disorderly conduct and later released pending a municipal court appearance.
