Poll: Should the Library Limit Computer Time?

director Seth Stephens’ discusses the issue of placing a time limit on computer usage at the library.
The Jefferson Township Public Library does not place a time limit on computer use.
“The practice of the library has been to allow people to use a computer as long as they want unless someone is waiting. If we observe people waiting to use a computer, we offer them the use of one of the library’s laptops,” Stephens wrote in his blog.

He noted that some libraries limit computer time because the directors believe that “it’s a rare person who will return to the library to use a computer if they are initially turned away.”
