Swannanoa Dam, Holland Mountain Road Work Ready For Bid

Jefferson Township administrator James Leach provided updates on current and future construction projects throughout town to the township council at its meeting on Wednesday night.

• Holland Mountain Road: The design is 90 percent complete. The project will go out to bid in early August.
• Lake Swannanoa Dam: Bids will be received by the Lake Swannanoa Homeowners Association on Aug. 7.
• Cozy Lake Drainage: This project is being done to alleviate flooding on Windsor Drive. It will be completed by township workers on Saturdays and will be finished by September.
• Longwood Lake Road: Bids for this project will be received on Aug. 7, and construction is scheduled to begin in early September.

Leach also noted that line striping has been completed on repaved sections of Weldon Road, Prospect Point Road, Schoolhouse Road and Nolan’s Point Road.
