Target Shooting Too Close to Homes, Police Say
Three men accused of firing rifle in wooded area in Lake Hopatcong.

Three men were found firing shots in the wooded area off Hoover Road in Lake Hopatcong last week, police said.
Jefferson Township Police Officer Brian Seeley saw three men target shooting with a rifle on Sept 13.
Robert Biss, 24, of Jefferson, Edward Matthews, 23, of Broadheadsville, Pa., and Michael Visconti, 22, of Jefferson, were issued summonses for unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a large capacity magazine and possession of hollow point bullets. Biss was also arrested and taken to the Morris County Jail in lieu of a no bail warrant.

“It definitely wasn’t the smartest place for them to be shooting,” Capt. Eric Wilsusen said. “They were too close to people’s homes. There were other places they could have gone.”
