Who Do You Think Should be Citizens of the Year?

They volunteer, working hard for the township. They may be on the fire department or rescue squad, or participate in different committees throughout the township. Each year at the Jefferson Day festivities, township Mayor Russell Felter announces two Citizens of the Year, generally one man and one woman.

Both are long-time volunteers around the township, McCarthy as a firefighter and Jackameit on various committees.

So tell us Jefferson, who do you think should be this year’s Citizens of the Year? Choose a man and a woman who you believe deserve the honor and tell us their names and a little bit about them in the comments.  We will do a story on the male and female with the most comments.
