Woman, 21, Dies After Being Pinned Under UTV Following Morris Co. Crash

The college student, an organ donor, saved four lives when she passed, according to her obituary.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A woman has died following a single-vehicle crash in Morris County recently.

Allyson Legora, 21, of Lake Hopatcong, died two days after she was involved in an off-road vehicle crash in Jefferson Township last week.

Legora was the passenger of a Utility Terrain Vehicle, or a UTV, that crashed on Roosevelt Avenue in Jefferson on Dec. 26 around 10:15 p.m., authorities said.

The UTV flipped over, pinning her beneath it, according to police.

Responders were able to get the UTV off of Legora before they began performing CPR.

She was rushed to the Morristown Medical Center in “serious condition,” where she died on Dec. 28.

The driver and another passenger of the UTV remained on the scene. No charges have been announced by prosecutors at this time.

The Montclair University Student “loved deeply, fiercely, and selflessly, and she gave her heart completely to her family every single day,” according to her obituary.

As an organ donor, Legora saved the lives of four people when she passed, her obituary adds.
